About the practice

Calm, evidence-led support with clear professional boundaries.

Raeburn Welfare Advocates exists to make demanding welfare and life-admin processes more manageable through careful preparation, evidence organisation and plain-English support.

Our purpose

People often seek help because the process has become bigger than the original problem. Medical records, care responsibilities, decision letters, deadlines and forms can all arrive at once. Our role is to create order around that complexity and make the next practical step easier to see.

Our principles

Clarity over jargon

We explain the task, the scope and the next step in language that is easy to follow.

Evidence over exaggeration

We do not invent success statistics, manufacture evidence or make outcome guarantees. We focus on presenting factual material clearly.

Boundaries over ambiguity

We are open about the difference between our unreserved support and work that requires an authorised professional, a different jurisdiction or specialist competence.

Dignity over pressure

Clients should not be made to feel foolish for being overwhelmed by complex systems or pressured into work they do not need.

Corporate structure

Raeburn Welfare Advocates is a trading style of THE RAEBURN HOLDING GROUP LIMITED, Company No. 17361231, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 82a James Carter Road, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. The company is the contracting entity unless an engagement document expressly states otherwise.

Professional boundaries

We provide unreserved paralegal and administrative support. We are not a solicitors' firm, do not hold ourselves out as solicitors or barristers, and are not authorised by the SRA. We do not provide FCA-regulated financial advice or insurance distribution services. A task is not accepted merely because a client requests it; we assess scope, jurisdiction, competence and regulatory boundaries first.

Where we currently focus

Our core welfare-benefit pages are written for England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland have different disability-benefit systems or administrative routes. We ask where a client lives at the outset so we do not apply the wrong process.

Trust is operational

Trust comes from clear pricing, careful data handling, defined scope, written boundaries, accessible communication, honest deadline management and a complaints route. Those are part of how the practice is intended to operate, not just claims made in marketing copy.
