How we work
A professional process designed to remove uncertainty.
You should know what is happening, what we need from you, what we are preparing and which responsibilities we have actually agreed to take on.
1. Initial assessment
You tell us where you live, the benefit or administrative issue, what has happened, what document you have and the relevant date or deadline. We use that information to assess jurisdiction, urgency and whether the matter appears to fall within our service scope. An initial enquiry does not create a client relationship or protect a deadline.
2. Scope, fee and acceptance
Before paid work starts, we set out the work we propose to do, the fee or charging basis, the documents we need, important assumptions and anything specifically excluded. A client relationship begins only when we expressly accept the instruction on agreed terms. If the matter needs a regulated professional or falls outside our competence, jurisdiction or lawful scope, we say so.
3. Evidence and document plan
We identify what you already have, what appears missing and which information is relevant to the agreed task. This may result in a checklist, chronology or case-file structure. We aim to minimise unnecessary collection of sensitive data rather than asking for every document by default.
4. Preparation
We complete the agreed drafting, form support, evidence organisation or appeal preparation. Where client input is needed, we ask focused questions. We do not invent facts, alter source evidence or use stock wording as a substitute for the client's actual circumstances.
5. Client review and factual confirmation
We check the agreed material for internal consistency, obvious gaps and document references. You remain responsible for confirming that factual information about you is accurate before anything is submitted in your name. If you identify an error or change in circumstances, tell us promptly.
6. Submission responsibility
Who actually submits a document, communicates with the DWP or tribunal, or attends a hearing is confirmed in the engagement scope. Unless we expressly accept responsibility for a particular filing or administrative step, you remain responsible for ensuring it is completed on time. Contacting us, sending documents or making payment does not by itself extend or suspend a deadline.
7. Next-step handover
You receive a clear explanation of the next action, any outstanding item and any deadline we have identified. Where further work is optional, it is presented as optional rather than assumed.
What we do not do
We do not manufacture evidence, guarantee outcomes, impersonate regulated professionals, pressure clients to buy unnecessary work, conceal conflicts or obscure our service boundaries.
